New Jersey’s most instrumental and essential innovative leaders were honored at the third annual INNOVATE100 celebration held at the State Theatre New Jersey on May 13.
Representing leading-edge professionals from various sectors and entities ranging from
startups and corporations to universities, nonprofits and the government, these individuals
were noted for their critical roles in the state’s innovation ecosystem as well as for helping to bolster the economy.
The INNOVATE100 initiative, founded and led by James Barrood of Innovation+, showcases these leaders while simultaneously highlighting inventive collaborations within companies and between organizations.
“Against the backdrop of the Health and Life Science Exchange’s (HELIX’s) imminent debut in New Brunswick as well as similar developments across New Jersey in recent years, the state is broadly expanding upon on its storied history of innovation and growing its recognition as a global innovation hub,” Barrood explained. “Behind each new development and company are elite innovators, many of whom were honored at the INNOVATE100 ceremony.”
Innovation+ says it could not spearhead the initiative without support from stakeholders and sponsors including Rutgers, Nokia Bell Labs, Valley Bank, Citrin Cooperman and Bell Works, Middlesex County, Aspire Studios and Jersey Tech + Innovation Media.
“We’re grateful for our partnerships with those who seek to expand and strengthen the
innovation community in New Jersey,” Barrood concluded.
